That's Texas!

One of Governor Perry's supporters came up with this song and video. Check it out:

A vote for Bill White is a vote to reward Barack Obama's Chicago-style politics, and make his overreaching liberal agenda easier to pass. A vote for Bill White is a vote for fiscal mismanagement and someone who is out of touch with Texans.

Get to the polls today, and vote for Texas Values, and Proven Leadership. Vote for Rick Perry!

Houston Voter Speaks His Mind

Of the many videos made out there by supporters, this is one of the better ones:

The Liberal Bunch

Texans for Rick Perry has released a new video, “The Liberal Bunch.” This video is available online at www.YouTube.com :

“The Liberal Bunch”
Here’s the story
Of Liberal Bill
And the liberals he met with while mayor
All of them had bleeding hearts like Liberal Bill
One was a little off

Here’s the story
Of Barack Obama
With a team of liberals of his own
Selling hope and change and higher taxes and government control

‘Till the one day Liberal Bill met Obama
And they knew it was much more than a hunch
That these liberals would try to run the country
That’s the way they all became the Liberal Bunch

The Liberal Bunch
The Liberal Bunch
That’s the way they became the Liberal Bunch

Bill White Hiding His Taxes Because He Didn’t Pay Them

Liberal trial lawyer didn’t pay taxes while earning $133,600 annual salary as Deputy Secretary of Energy

It has been uncovered that one reason liberal trial lawyer Bill White refuses to release his taxes from his years in public service is he avoided paying taxes in 1995 while serving as Deputy Secretary of Energy, a Level II position of the Executive Branch with an annual salary of $133,600. [1, 2]

Though Bill White refuses to allow the public to inspect his tax returns for his years in public service, he recently told the Dallas Morning News that he reported no taxable income in 1995. [3]

When confronted with this fact on Monday, Bill White campaign spokesperson Katy Bacon responded, "Bill took a loss in 1995 as he was working on starting an oil and gas business. That's the way taxable income works. One of Perry's returns has $500K in losses." [4]

"It is ironic that Bill White's campaign is referencing the publicly released tax returns of Gov. Perry when responding to stories about Bill White not releasing his," said Texans for Rick Perry spokesman Mark Miner. "The word of Bill White's spokesperson is not sufficient when it comes to the contents of Bill White's hidden tax returns. Bill White should come clean and release his taxes for his years in public service so Texans can see for themselves how he managed to avoid paying taxes while earning a six-figure salary from the federal government."

Bill White Joins President Obama In Refusing To Support Extending Bush Tax Cuts

Liberal trial lawyer says, “I really haven’t followed that debate in Congress”

During an appearance today on Austin’s KLBJ-AM radio, liberal trial lawyer Bill White joined President Obama in refusing to support extending the Bush tax cuts, which are set to expire on Dec. 31 and result in the largest tax increases in the nation’s history.

Host: A lot of Democrats are expressing concerns about extending the Bush tax cuts. Some seem to be in favor of that. Where do you stand on that, and how about an additional stimulus package which the president’s people, his economic advisers, are kicking around? Would you favor another stimulus plan and where do you stand on the Bush tax cuts being extended, all of them, not the majority of then, all of them?

Bill White: You know, I really haven’t followed that debate in Congress.

Host: Oh come on.

Bill White: Well I haven’t …

Host: Mr. White …

Bill White: Uh … what, come on what?

Bill White: A Fiscal Train Wreck

Houston Metro’s ‘fragile position’ created by Bill White’s debt-heavy plan, as Democrat Sylvester Turner predicted in 2003

In 2003, liberal Bill White’s campaign for Houston mayor included promises about what he would do for Houston Metro if elected: "My financing plan makes Metro's solutions less burdensome on taxpayers and those using bus services, without compromising the level of service described in Metro's rail plan through 2025." [1]

However, Democrat State Representative Sylvester Turner of Houston warned that White’s plan would be a disaster for Metro: “(White) pays for some of the capital costs, but does not provide for a continuing revenue stream for the operational costs beyond 2009. The net effect is that his proposal would bankrupt the rail system before the rail expansion starts while creating additional debt for Metro at the same time." [1]

Turner was right, as the Houston Chronicle reports today that financial experts agree Metro is in a “fragile position” because of the debt-heavy financial plan White promoted and his hand-picked leadership executed. [2]

Day 158: Liberal Trial Lawyer Bill White Still Hiding His Taxes

Today is Day 158 of liberal trial lawyer Bill White refusing to release his taxes from his years in public service.

Bill White refuses to release his taxes from 1993-1998, years he held public service positions that required him by law to complete annual personal financial disclosures. While Bill White was Deputy Secretary of Energy (1993-95) and Chairman of the Texas Democratic Party (1995-98), he was required by law to complete annual personal financial disclosures that he has also failed to make public.

Bill White Continues To Push Tax Increases, Supports Local Option Tax Increase

Earlier this week at a Transportation and Infrastructure Summit in Irving, liberal trial lawyer Bill White once again told Texans he would not rule out tax increases. According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Bill White told the group he “supports the concept of a local-option election asking voters to raise their taxe(s) to pay for transportation bonds.” In the same event, Bill White also “steered clear of the topic of raising Texas' 20 cents-a-gallon motor fuels tax.” (SOURCE: Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Bill White offers his take on transportation, 8/10/10, full article below)

“Bill White has made it clear that he would not hesitate to raise taxes on the working families of Texas if he were elected governor,” said Texans for Rick Perry spokesman Mark Miner. “Bill White is a typical liberal politician who believes tax increases are the answer to everything and he has positioned himself as the champion of tax increases in this race. Profiteering as mayor of Houston, serving on shady corporate boards and increasing taxes seem to be the emerging themes of the Bill White campaign.”

Bill White Should Apologize for Racially Motivated Attack

Statement by Texans for Rick Perry Campaign Manager Rob Johnson

“Yesterday, according to the Dallas Morning News, Bill White said to an audience of African-American business and community leaders in Dallas, ‘We need a governor who’s a servant, as opposed to Rick Perry, who wants to be treated as master.’

“Today I am calling on Bill White to immediately apologize to the people of Texas for his insensitive remarks that are nothing more than an attempt to divide our state. Yesterday, Bill White showed just how low he will go in his race for governor, by making racially motivated remarks attacking Gov. Perry. Instead of talking about issues that will move this state forward, Bill White has chosen a path based on scare tactics and division. He should spend less time trying to divide our state and more time copying his tax returns that he has failed to release, explaining his role in steering business to a company he had financial ties with as mayor of Houston, hiding his profits from a company he formed to exploit his Washington contacts, and making millions from a company under investigation by Congress for lying to the EPA.”
